Our commitment

SMTPTester is a free diagnostic tool. We collect the absolute minimum data required to operate the service, and we never sell, share, or monetise your personal information.

SMTP credentials

When you submit an SMTP test, the host, port, username, and password you provide are transmitted over HTTPS to our servers, used only to execute the single test you requested, and then discarded. They are never written to logs, databases, analytics platforms, or third-party services. We do not retain the request body after the test completes.

Information we collect

  • Technical telemetry: standard request logs including IP address, user agent, and request timing for abuse prevention.
  • Aggregated analytics: page-view counts that do not identify individuals.
  • Contact form data: when you email us, we keep the conversation thread.

Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie to remember your theme preference (dark or light). We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@smtptester.app and we will respond within thirty days.

If we materially change how we handle data, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
